Community Resource and Engagement Program (CRE)
The Community Resource and Engagement (CRE) program offers monthly sessions designed to provide neurodiversity-affirming resources and support.
These sessions are divided into two categories: one tailored for neurodivergent adults and the other for families, parents, and caregivers of neurodivergent children.
The program aims to foster community engagement while offering valuable tools and guidance for navigating neurodiversity in everyday life. This program is currently being offered in-person only. The location for these sessions is McKinney, Texas.
Session 1 - 18th August
Here are some glimpses from our first session of the Monthly Community Resource and Engagement Program (CRE), held on August 18th.
The agenda focused on understanding autism and ADHD through the lens of neurodiversity. We explored how our brains work, discussed executive functioning dysfunction and emotional support strategies for autistic and ADHD kids.
Our CRE sessions are free but spots are limited.
Session 2 - 29th September
What happens when a community comes together to share, listen, and grow? Magic!
Together, we’re shaping a neurodiversity-affirming understanding of autism and ADHD. At our recent CRE session, participants not only shared their journeys but also connected with essential resources to support their path forward. A big thank you to our community for making this space so impactful!
A huge shout-out to our community partners without whom organizing these sessions will not be possible. @academicsplus for generously offering us a space to host these sessions, Tiny Trinkets for logistics, @neuroclastic for resources and @krogerco (2901 Lake Forest McKinney) for snacks!
